6 pm - 11 pmExhibition: The Prussian Homage, or the feudal tribute paid to King Sigismund I the Old by Albrecht Hohenzollern, Duke in Prussia, took place on April 10, 1525, in Kraków. It was preceded by the Kraków Treaty (document preserved at AGAD), which transformed the Teutonic Order’s state into the secular Duchy of Prussia, a fiefdom of the Kingdom of Poland. As a result of the treaty, the last Grand Master of the Teutonic Order, Albrecht Hohenzollern, adopted Lutheranism and secularized the order’s state, becoming its ruler under the Polish king.
Participation is free. No registration or notification is required. The event is intended for the specified group of people for whom it is dedicated. Visiting takes place during designated hours.
