Event details

The funeral of Father Popiełuszko gathered the largest number of people in Polands history. To date, over 23 million people have visited his grave. Father Popiełuszko, who served at St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish, was one of the most dangerous figures for the communist system in Poland. He was murdered in October 1984. The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear to this day. In 2010, he was beatified. He became a global symbol of peaceful struggle for freedom. Touch the darkness of the PRL era, experience the mystery of holiness. Guides will lead tours every full hour.

Participation in the event is free of charge. No registration or prior sign-up is required. It is intended for specific persons for whom the event is dedicated. Tours are available during designated hours.
