Event details

The Bible, the Holy Scripture of the Old and New Testaments, had a profound influence on the development of European civilization. The exhibition shows the history of the Bible’s creation, the copying and storage of manuscripts, its translation into the languages of European nations and later the world, and the influence of the invention of the printing press on the spread of the Holy Scripture. Visitors can view and handle numerous artifacts, including manuscripts on parchment, reprints of the Gutenberg Bible, the Tyndale New Testament, the Luther Bible and other interesting exhibits.
