We invite you to take a journey back in time to pre-war Warsaw. In the place where the green Central Square is being created as part of the New Warsaw Centre, before the outbreak of World War II, streets such as Wielka and Złota intersected. The dense, downtown buildings consisted of solid tenements built mainly in the second half of the 19th and early 20th centuries. This and the adjacent quarter, intersected by Zielna Street and bounded to the east by Marszałkowska Street, was inhabited by thousands of people, with shops and service points operating on the ground floors.
Practical information:Especially for this years Night of Museums, together with the Public Roads Authority and the Bar Studio, we have prepared a unique outdoor exhibition ‘On the way to the Square’ at Plac Defilad.
