Lecture and presentation overlooking the monument – ‘Old and New Warsaw’ sgraffito. A story about the history and conservation-restoration issues in front of the building of the F. Chopin State Music Schools Complex in Warsaw. Comprehensive conservation-restoration and reconstruction work on the iconic Warsaw sgraffito from 1952, created by Professor Jan Seweryn Sokołowski of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts and his assistant artist Zofia Czarnocka-Kowalska, took place from 2021 to 2023 on the northern facade of the former Mariensztat Estate Trade House.
Practical information:The lecture will be conducted by Marta Maciąga, MA.
The lecture and presentation will take place outdoors, in front of the ‘Old and New Warsaw’ sgraffito facade. It will start at 8.30 p.m. You can bring a blanket to sit on the grass.
