Event details:

For the third time, we invite you to descend into the stormwater overflow chamber at the junction of Ratuszowa and Jagiellońska streets. This historic section of the sewer network was built over 100 years ago to the design of the famous English engineer Sir William Heerlein Lindley. Inside the spacious chamber with a balcony – as it was described back then – sewage still flows, so the smell is not that of French perfume. Special doors have been preserved, whose closure caused an accumulation of sewage, allowing the canal to be flushed. The facility is normally inaccessible.

Practical information:

We invite adults from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. If it rains, the tour will have to be cancelled. Viewing the chamber takes 15 minutes. Limited number of places. Entry after familiarising yourself with the regulations (available on www.mpwik.com.pl)
