The Museum of the History of Medicine at Warsaw Medical University (WUM) will present the mysteries of the human brain, which arouses great interest and is the subject of scientific research. Visitors will be able to see an exhibition dedicated to Professor Jerzy Choróbski, the founder of Polish neurosurgery. The exhibition will be complemented by preventative health workshops conducted by students who will present issues related to, among others, pain relief during various procedures and the use of analgesics in their field.
Practical information:Lectures: ‘Trepanation – a brief history of neurosurgery,’ ‘How to improve memory and brain function,’ ‘Happy brain, how to take care of mental health,’ ‘History of anaesthesiology.’ We will also provide an Anatomical Theatre with an anatomy lesson.
